Water Park hosts scores of disabled anglers
MORE than 80 disabled anglers, from all over the country, visited Cotswold Water Park to take part in South Cerney National Angling Festival.
South Cerney Angling Club has run the event, exclusively for anglers with Disabilities, for 26 years.
Novice and experienced anglers competed, with Martin Salter MP presenting trophies and prizes to winners in various categories, including best wheelchair angler, top junior, top lady angler and best specimen fish.
Zurich Financial Services, national fishing tackle and bait companies and local tackle shops and businesses sponsored the Festival.
The fishing took place on three of the club's lakes: Ham Pool, Gillman's and Stait's Lake, which all offered excellent fishing.
