A HAPPY couple from the area recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary marking a lifetime of happiness together.
Paul and Rachel Gough, aged 91 and 88, who live at White Lodge Care Home near Minety commemorated the huge milestone on Wednesday, April 3.
The special occasion was marked with a card of congratulations from King Charles.
The couple were also joined by family, friends and care home staff.
Home manager Ramona Gherendi said: “To be able to share this incredible moment with Mr and Mrs Gough is the reason I came to work in care.
“Moments like these are special, they have experienced every journey in life up until this point and to be able to celebrate with them together and share their happiness is something we feel incredibly proud of here at White Lodge Care Home.
“A huge congratulations and here’s to many more together.
“From all of us in Barchester thank you for sharing your special day with us!
“A love like yours is hard to come by, so hold on to it strong.”
